A Message From the Editor
Hello Tagg Fam,
This newsletter issue is a bit different from the others you've received from me. Today, rather than share our latest interviews and essays, I'm here fill you in on a major Tagg Magazine update.
You may have noticed that there haven't been any newsletters in the last few weeks, and our website isn't publishing new content right now. That is because I was recently diagnosed with a mass—consistent with cancer—on my kidney. I should be fine if we move quickly: the hope is that a swift surgery will halt the need for further treatment. Because my medical team is moving at top speed to get me treated, I have chosen to direct all of my energy towards working with them to get me back to good health.
Tagg isn't created by a big team. I edit and post every article, create almost all of our social media, handle all emails and finances, write our newsletter, meet with our collaborators, and write articles for the site as well. While our team of freelancers is beyond amazing, they can't hold Tagg down alone. For that reason, I've decided to pause all publication on TaggMagazine.com for the next month or so while I focus on my health. There won't be any new articles for the next month, newsletter emails will stop for the time being, and social media posts will also come to a halt.
Sometime in March, I hope to come back rested, healed, and prepared to deliver you the sapphic news you need as only Tagg can. If you want to help, donations to Tagg can help cover expenses while our work with advertisers is on hold. I am eternally grateful to those of you who make the choice to support Tagg—both financially and by sharing our work.
Of course, I never want to leave you without your fix of sapphic and LGBTQ+ news, so I've got a wealth of links for you to dive into while I'm away. Look below for info on an important new podcast and a breakdown of media icons at the Queer Women's Media Coalition and News Is Out.
Thank you so much for loving Tagg. I'll see you all on the other side!
xo

P.S. If you want to follow along with my healing journey, I'll be posting updates on my personal social channels. The stories of others have given me a lot of hope and peace, and I aim to extend the favor over the next few weeks.
